GDB Attach Failed in VSCode​

==== AUTHENTICATING FOR org.freedesktop.policykit.exec ===

Authentication is needed to run `/usr/bin/gdb’ as the super user

Found a solution here by creating the following pkexec policy

/usr/share/polkit-1/actions/com.ubuntu.pkexec.gdb.policy
